O’Keefe Busted in an Attempt to Infiltrate George Soros Foundation
George Soros is a man of deep economic insight. His expertise in global economic affairs has made him resourceful and instrumental in analytically approaching global financial situations and providing practical solutions. Born in 1930 in Budapest, Soros fled Hungary in 1947, which was dominated by the Nazis in the Second World War. The Hungarian-American legendary financier’s contribution towards global economic affairs, education, philanthropy and to a lesser extent activism, started after George Soros attained a degree from the London School of Economics.
George Soros began his career after settling in the USA. His desire for entrepreneurship led him to establish the International Investment Fund. Through this fund that he managed, he was successful and accumulated a handsome fortune and wealth. Also, he is an author. His literary works in economics, business, and globalization and world socio-political affairs have been among the best-selling books. Some of the books George Soros authored include The Tragedy of The European Union, Financial Turmoil in Europe and the USA, The Crash of 2008 and what it means for other books.
Philanthropy is George Soros’s passion. He has been known as a contributor towards various charitable organizations. In 1979, George Soros aided the black student in the then apartheid South Africa to attend the University Of Cape Town and study abroad. He established the Central European University in Budapest in 1919 to promote education. The height of his philanthropy is seen when he formed the Open Society Foundation, which he chairs. This is a network of foundations and projects spread in over 100 countries. It is a true philanthropic effort that ensures respect for human rights and accountability in governance.
Geraghty, a staff member in the Open Society Foundation, was treated to drama when a renowned conservative activist James O’Keefe’s illicit attempt to infiltrate the organization flopped when he failed to hang up the phone. The activist who is reported to have disguised himself as “Victor Kesh” and a Hungarian national, in the voice mail extracts to Danna Geraghty states that he would like to get involved in the societies activities. He further says that he wants to aid the organization run by billionaire George Soros fight for European values.
The activist ends his call by asking Danna Geraghty for someone he can contact and left some contacts with her. However, the activist did not know that he had not hanged up the phone. Consequently, his conversation with another party is overheard by Danna Gerathy. He is heard telling an unidentified person not to say anything before he hangs up. He further deliberates on his plan for the group for 10 minutes. He suggests other individuals other than himself to make 100 such phone calls. Additionally, he suggests opening Geraghty’s LinkedIn account to obtain valuable information to ease his access to “Soros Octopus.” It later rings in his mind that doing so would expose his LinkedIn account to Geraghty.

Geraghty laughed of O’Keefe’s ridiculous move terming him and his friend as technologically backward. She forwarded the voice mails to the foundations presidents Chris Stone, who also ridicules O’Keefe’s move. He laughed off O’Keefe’s inability to use the internet or conduct an undercover operation. However, he raised an alarm of a possible malicious and dirty plot against them.
